By using the download links below you accept above disclaimer.

The PStill distribution is tested before it is put on its web site with Malwarebytes and Avira AntiVirus and the most recent database updates. Please read this information if your Anitvirus software claims a problem and update your antivirus databases.

PStill/Win installs completely local in one folder (can even be used from an USB stick), it does not change or try to update your system with DLLs or similar, it does not 'phone home' and it does not contain 'spyware' or 'adware' of any kind. PStill is self-contained, it does not need or download any other components. As the installer is unsigned Windows 8 and 10 may complain about a potential unsafe application, you can install it safely anyway. My full contact information can be found on the main page in case of questions or comments.

Please send questions to this address, Thank you!

August 2016 Windows 10 'Anniversary Update' note: The Windows 10 Smart Screen web filter may complain about a potential unsafe download. This is a false warning. PStill contains no malware or adware and will run on Windows 10 Anniversary Update just fine.

PStill received a 'Safe to Install' award from Findmysoft.com.

For a list of changes see the Readme that is contained within the installation. On Windows 8, depending on the systems security settings, it is possible the system will warn you on installation about an unsigned installer app. You can continue by clicking on 'Show more information' and select 'install'. When run as evaluation the program is throttled and displays an extra message.

PStill comes with two command line tools: 'pdflin' to linearize PDF and 'pdfasm' to concat PDF fast. See the command line tutorial for more information.

All versions now come with a user friendly Windows-style installer program and can now use the system fonts as templates for its PostScript base font set. To update just install over the old installation (be sure to save any changed config files like PStillConfig.inf or fontsub.table before!).

Free AddOns

PDFInfoTool (PDF Information & analysis)

PDF2i (PDF to TIFF/JPEG file converter)

PDF2r (PDF to rastered PDF file converter)

PDFBlink (PDF viewer & comparator)

Addons extends the functionality of PStill/Win. They install 'on-top' of PStill, so be sure to install PStill/Win first.

Get your license

Please tryout the software first and when you find it working for your conversion needs you can order a license key for the program online. Without license key the program runs but will paint a watermark on each page it produces and will wait for 10 seconds before starting a conversion run.

The PostScript 'normalizing' (PSRW-type) license also includes the option to output directly to PostScript and EPS additional to the ability to output to PDF. The standard license does always output to PDF.

See this information about the license options.

Setup PStill as automatic PDF printer in Windows

PStill can work as standalone application or be part of the printer mechanism on Windows. You can print from an application program (like e.g. Microsoft Word or Excel) and a PDF is automatically created on your system or the server where PStill runs.
